Whereby and RD Content partnered up to deliver a video campaign, showing how easy is to add video chat to platforms. The film explores what one developer might get up to with all her free time when she uses Whereby Embedded.
My role was to create all VFX and animations for the film.
The fun bit was adding the 'live' ant. The film crew have already shot the scene, and the actress used a prop to imitate a 'bug'. I worked in After Effects, taking this shot and replacing the prop with real ant. The ant itself was a video file, which I prepped (cleaned up, adjusted the colours) and masked the areas where the legs and body would hang from the tweezers.
I can ensure you, that no ants were harmed during the filming of this scene :)
